Oregon Pay Increases Surpass the Nation

Oregon and Southwest Washington employees can expect base wage/salary increases to average about 3.3% in 2016 across all employee categories and most industries. While the averages vary a little by employee category, the projections for Oregon and Southwest Washington are trending higher than the projected overall averages throughout the United States. The following is a summary breakdown of the increases by employee category:

2016 increase projections for Oregon are slightly higher than the 2015 predictions (3.05%). The national predictions are virtually unchanged from 2015 (3.13%).

The local study conducted by Cascade Employers Association was released in October 2015 and reflects the practices of 208 Oregon and Southern Washington employers. The nationwide study was published in July 2015 by WorldatWork and covers the increase projections of 2,000 employers from throughout the U.S.
