Ready to read of the newest, latest and (possibly) greatest things in HR? Here are some links just chock full of the new and shiny things that you might want to know about…

Curious to know what are currently the Most Prized Summer Employee Perks?

This article on Fresh Office Phrases gives some new perspective and vocabulary.

Wondering what some of the newest tools to use in recruiting are? This article covers some of the sites featured at the SHRM conference, and Dr. John Sullivan is hanging his hat on LinkedIn being the future in recruiting.

Sometimes the old way comes back into style and become new again. Here is a valid point being made for ditching the slides and just telling the story.

Needing some new and shiny “brain food” for the summertime? TED just released TED Books, which I haven’t looked at yet, but just makes my heart go pitter-patter with delight at the thought of new books by such an fantastic source.

Speaking of TED, I promised a while ago I would begin to share my favorites here and so I’d like to recommend an extremely popular talk that Susan Cain did recently on “The Power of Introverts“. Just nineteen minutes long, this is an excellent reminder of the extraordinary talents and abilities that the introverts in the workplace can bring to enrich our world.

Warning: Completely random find… if you find yourself or a co-worker getting frustrated, perhaps the perfect gift might be this Japanese Shouting Vase?

Hope you have a great week!

Michelle
